Frustrating

I'm sitting in the lounge at school between classes listening to a little Gomez, stewing on the state of music. See, Gomez is a really good band who not only makes good records, but puts on good live shows as well. They were recently dropped by their record label due to poor album sales. Ironically it wasn't until their most recent album that I ever heard Gomez on the radio, in heavy rotation at that! Meanwhile dipshit talentless tarts with the last name Simpson get to spread their filth and take home millions of greasy American dollars. I don't blame the record companies for putting this "music" out there, even corporations have to take a shit now and then. I blame Americans for buying into it. The corporate music machine wouldn't exist if it didn't make money, if the masses didn't buy into it. So here's what you can do. Go to a live show at a local venue. Buy a CD from the guy at the merch table. Buy the band a round of drinks. Tell your friends. It will make you feel good. It will make the band feel good, so they'll keep making good music. And don't steal music, from anyone. Just because it's easy doesn't make it right. I'm tired, tired, tired of this shit.

I'd like to see Gomez in a cage match with the Simpson family.
