Help Wanted

I am in a search for new tunes. I like the tunes I have already, but I think they are getting bored with each other and would like some new companions. So, if you are looking at this you probably know me at least a little bit, consequently you probably know some tunes I might like. You should tell me what those tunes are.
Or maybe you don't know me at all but just want to promote your favorite band by telling every single person to "Go out and buy _____, they are the awesomest band ever!" And then I'll say, "sounds good."

Just to sweeten the deal, if you tell me some bands you think are cool, I'll tell you about some bands that I think are cool, then we'll both know about cool bands and will both be that much cooler. Possibly more than double cool, because the combination of cool bands may have a synergistic effect on the entire experience, making the total greater than the sum of its parts.

Wow, I think I've had too much coffee.

Reverse Progression

What you're looking at there is a gin-u-wine 70's era reel-to-reel tape recorder very similar to the one I picked up this last weekend. Now you may be asking yourself "Didn't this cat post about GarageBand, and making beats, and all manner of other DIGITAL RECORDING? What in the hell is he doing with a 30 year old analog tape recorder?" I'll tell you what I'm doing, I'm making sweet sweet love to the awesomeness that is the 70's sound. Plus, I like messing with mechanical junk.
I don't have mics that plug into this unit, yet, but I'm working on it.
Or, I'll be heading over to Radio Shack and soldering some 1/4" or XLRs onto this puppy. Either way, awesweetness is en route.




Gadgets

Finally got one of them digital cameras. It also shoots pretty sweet videos. Seems I'll be documenting pretty much everything I do from here on out, which will no doubt cause some problems in my "professional life" when and if that ever happens. If I can figure out how to post the videos, I will. I am open to suggestions and/or directions. Now I'm going to go watch Ocean's Eleven because that movie is dripping with awesomeness.

Although we got over a foot of snow on St. Patrick's day, less than a month later we are in the wonderful throes of 74 degree bliss. I would love to elaborate, but I have better things to be doing right now...
