Go Buy This Record!

I like to think that I am a) a pretty good judge of tunes; and b) I am not easily swayed toward the fanatical end of the spectrum.
That being said, the new Calexico/Iron & Wine collaboration is amazing. Dark but uplifting, chill yet uptempo. It's only 7 tunes, but well worth the expenditure (which is 7 x $.99 by iTunes math).
So go listen, and enjoy the rest of your day/week/month.

A bit much?

I am not a paid proponent of Apple Computers, however I am an avid
advocate of theirs.
The other day I got to thinking about the whole Apple v. Windows
debate, and where I stand.  See, I don't dislike Windows per se, I just
find it to be cumbersome and inefficient, two high ranking pet peeves
of mine.  Mac OS has always just been easier to use.

I decided to take stock of my bias, and am a bit shocked at how
deep it runs.

I currently have at my disposal:
5 gig iPod (G1)
iPod Mini
20 gig iPod
12" iBook
14" iBook G4
Airport Base Station
Mighty Mouse

Not to mention my Parents' first Mac (as in 1984 era), Mac LC, old
G3 tower, and new Mini Mac; and my Brother's Titanium Powerbook.

That's a lot of Mac.
